French government asks the European Commission for new SAR based on real life use of the mobile phone

As already presented the present SAR for mobile phones is based on a distance of 5 mm between the phone and body (skin). The real situation for most persons is no distance (0 mm). According to Microwave News the French government asks for new SAR measurements based on real-life situation, see excerpts. On October 25, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health issued a statement with these key points:                   

1. France will ask the European Commission to reinforce the requirements for new mobile phones put on the market. As recommended by the National Agency for Safety, Environment and Labor (ANSES), the Government will request that the approval tests be carried out in contact with the apparatus, and not 5 mm away as is currently the case. This will be more representative of actual exposures;
2. The National Frequency Agency (ANFR) will develop tools to improve user information:

• The mobile application “Open Barres” will be completed by the end of the year to allow each user to know the emissions of his mobile phone model;
  
• The recommended usage distance will also be indicated on the ANFR website, which already cites distances for the telephones checked, as well as the “Open Barres” application. If there is cooperation from manufacturers, they will be available by the end of the year.

3. The Government will bring together major manufacturers to take voluntary steps to update the software of their models already on the market, before the adoption of recent, more restrictive emission standards;
4. ANFR’s monitoring of products placed on the market will be increased by 30% in 2020.

We would like to thank MEPs Philippe Lamberts, Michèle Rivasi and Klaus Buchner of the Greens/EFA for this remarkable event organised on 1 October 2019 at the European Parliament. This allowed our President to launch an alert to the European authorities asking them to take all appropriate measures to protect mobile phone users from the health and industrial risks associated with the international Phonegate scandal, particularly at the time of the announced launch of 5G.

The presentation made by Dr Marc Arazi demonstrated, with supporting evidence, that it was no longer possible to trust the mobile phone manufacturers, who knowingly overexposed us to the waves of our mobile phones, well beyond the limits of the risks to our health.

The medical conference held on Saturday 8 June 2019 provided the first opportunity to discuss in England about the Phonegate case and its industrial and health consequences. We would like to warmly thank Dr. Erica Mallery Blythe, President of PHYRE, for her invitation and support that made this event possible in the UK. It was also an opportunity for fruitful exchanges with Professors Dominique Belpomme (France) and Olle Johansson (Sweden) present to discuss the various aspects related to the health of people suffering from electrohypersensitivity (EHS).
