The Director of the Electrosensitive Society, Sheena Symington, recently requested that Perth council begin discussions on providing safe housing options for people who suffer from electro-hyper-sensitivity. EHS refers to environmentally induced disability arising from WIFI emissions and other sources of electromagnetic radiation collectively known as electro-smog.

Symington’s request fits into the larger conversation of homelessness and affordable housing as she referenced Tay Valley Township zoning laws for the tiny home initiative, homes which are much smaller and thus more affordable than traditional residential structures. These homes can also be made portable as a means of relocation or emergency housing. For people with EHS, the tiny home initiative would help people build in, or relocate to, areas of low radiation.
